National Members 2024-2027 Term

Mélanie Chartier

Mélanie Chartier has been a Canadian Red Cross volunteer since 2018. She is a member of the Rouyn-Noranda Personal Assistance Team (PDAT). She is also the coordinator of the Regional Emergency Response Team (ERT). She is a member of the Quebec’s volunteer emergency on-call team. Finally, she is an ambassador for the Wal-Mart fundraising campaign for Rouyn-Noranda and Val-d'Or.

Denis Cormier

Denis has been volunteering with the Canadian Red Cross since 2007 and has assisted with more than a dozen emergency responses across the country.

Éric Dion

Éric Dion has been a volunteer since 2018. He is an Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Personal Disaster Team (PDAT) supervisor, a facilitator and senior facilitator for Emergency Management training and Emergency Management Information System (EMIS). He often answers PDAT calls in Montréal, has helped welcome Ukrainians, and supported vaccination centers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Laura Isidean

Laura Isidean has been a CRC volunteer since 2015. She has held advisory roles at the regional, provincial, and national levels. She currently serves on several committees including the Ontario Provincial Advisory Committee and the Tiffany Circle National Steering Committee. She has also contributed to the HumaniT Volunteer Experience Transformation Project as a Change Champion and served on the National Volunteer Experience and Engagement Committee.

Lyle Karasiuk

Lyle Karasiuk has been a Canadian Red Cross volunteer engaged in First Aid for more than 20 years. He is the National Volunteer Chairperson for the Canadian Red Cross Council for Health Education; a National Master Instructor Trainer in all Prevention and Safety programs and a training partner.

Michelle Lansiedel

Michelle Landsiedel

Michelle Landsiedel started volunteering with the Canadian Red Cross after being impacted by the fires that devastated the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo in 2016.

Heidi Marcon

Heidi Marcon is a Health Emergency Management Specialist with Health Emergency Management British Columbia (HEMBC). She has been a Canadian Red Cross volunteer since 2011.

Joy Martin

Joy Martin has volunteered with the Canadian Red Cross since 1998, when she says, "the seven Fundamental Principles hooked me." She is involved with many Red Cross teams, including the Personal Disaster Assistance Team (PDAT), the regional Emergency Response Team (ERT), the National Safety & Wellbeing Team, the National Social Emergency Response Team (Indigenous Northern and Remote Communities).

Victoria Mitchell

Victoria Mitchell has been volunteering with the Canadian Red Cross since 2012 mainly in Emergency management. She leads a Personal Disaster Assistance Team (PDAT), responds remotely to large scale events, and conducts volunteer interviews.

Geoff Moon

Geoff Moon has volunteered with the Canadian Red Cross for over 30 years in governance councils at local and provincial levels. Over the years, he has been involved with many working and task force groups for the Red Cross at provincial and national levels.

Scott Osmachenko

Scott Osmachenko spent the last 20 years as a Governance and Leadership Volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross being involved in governance at every level and being part of task forces to reform CRC membership. Scott has also been involved with Friendly Calls, Injury Prevention, Disaster Management and Fundraising.

Ross David Pratt

Ross David Pratt is a proud member of the Muscowpetung Saulteaux First Nation Band. He has been a volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross since 2012. He is currently a member of the Personal Disaster Assistance Team (PDAT), the Emergency Response Team (ERT), and supports case management activities.

Clara Reinhardt

Clara Reinhardt retired from the Canadian Red Cross in 2015. She was working in Prevention and Safety. As a First Aid Master Instructor Trainer and a Water Safety Master Instructor Trainer, she worked with National Advisory Groups, coordinated the Drowning data collection and reports, and represented the Canadian Red Cross at the Canadian Safe Boating Council. She has experience working with and living in Indigenous Communities in four western Provinces and three Territories.

Rita Saliba

Rita Saliba is from Lebanon and as a university student, she got involved with the Youth Progam of the Lebanese Red Cross. During the war, the Red Cross assisted her and her family, and since then the Red Cross has always been part of her life.

Manjit Singh

Manjit Singh grew up in the United Kingdom, originating from Punjab, India. Manjit has volunteered with the Canadian Red Cross in various capacities since 2006.

Caberry Yu

Caberry Yu has been a volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross since 2011, when she helped establish its York Region Youth Action Council. Since then, she has led the McMaster University subgroup of the Red Cross and still serves as a Personal Disaster Responder in Hamilton. She has participated in large Red Cross responses, including refugee claimant and COVID-19 pandemic responses.
