Shawn Feely – Vice President, Manitoba & Nunavut

Headshot of Shawn FeelyShawn Feely has been the Canadian Red Cross Vice President for Manitoba and Nunavut since 2015. 

He is responsible for oversight of all Red Cross operations in Manitoba and Nunavut, including implementation of strategic priorities, business transformation, relationship management and financial accountability.  

Under Shawn’s leadership, the Manitoba/Nunavut region has assembled a strong leadership team and continuously grown participation in Red Cross programs. He has also sat on several high-level, coordinating bodies dealing with crisis response for First Nation communities in Manitoba, including the Manitoba First Nations Pandemic Response Coordination Team – at the request of the Grand Chief of Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs. In 2017, he represented the Canadian Red Cross on an evaluation mission in Ethiopia.  

Shawn is an experienced safety, prevention and health professional who believes collaborative leadership is vital to successfully connecting with communities served by the Canadian Red Cross.

Prior to joining Canadian Red Cross in 2012, Shawn worked in a variety of roles in Manitoba, some of which focused on injury prevention research and policy. He remains engaged with a variety of health-focused organizations, both on boards and as a support volunteer.

Shawn has a Masters in Leadership and Training from Royal Roads University in Victoria, B.C. He grew up in several communities throughout Manitoba and currently resides in Winnipeg. Shawn is married with two children.
