Syrian Refugee Arrival

Photo: Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship

Working with various levels of government, the Red Cross in Quebec was instrumental in welcoming Syrian refugees. Volunteers and staff were on hand when refugees arrived in Montreal and in the various hotels where they were temporarily housed. To this day, the Canadian Red Cross continues to provide support for refugees as they settle into their host communities.

To learn more about the Red Cross response, see this overview of services provided throughout the Syrian Refugee Arrival.

Transportation Assistance Program
