Where we work

The Canadian Red Cross aims to be a multiplier of impactful, locally led humanitarian action before, during and after crises. Our teams work to contribute to more inclusive, dignified, healthy, safe, resilient, and sustainable communities. We aim to alleviate suffering of those impacted by disaster and crisis.

Leveraging the Canadian Red Cross’s expertise in health services, preparedness for effective response, operational leadership, and coordination, we partner and collaborate with National Society partners in the Americas, Africa Region, Middle East and North Africa, Europe and Asia Pacific.

With a focus on investing in locally led action, partnering, and coordinating our humanitarian efforts, the Canadian Red Cross amplifies humanitarian impact building on past investment and capacity in each context. Our work focuses on maximizing humanitarian impact before, during and after a crisis, in full support of local leadership.

This work is made possible with support from the Government of Canada and donors to our public appeals and the International Program Fund.
