At Red Cross, we believe Bullying is NOT a normal part of growing up.
Peers spend 75% of the time watching bullying.
When youth stand up and speak out against bullying they are successful in stopping the bullying behaviour 57% of the time in about 10 seconds!
Red Cross works with schools and communities throughout Saskatchewan year-round. Our RespectED “Beyond the Hurt” program trains teachers, parents, community leaders and youth so they can teach others how to prevent and address bullying behaviour.
In 2011/12, Red Cross reached almost 20,000 youth in Saskatchewan with this important education and training.
But more work needs to be done – and we can’t do it without you.
We want to reach every student, in every school, in Saskatchewan to make bullying a thing of the past.
It’s up to ALL of us to create safe environments for our children and youth.
