Your Support Helps Rebuild Lives

The Canadian Red Cross helping remote communities in Newfoundland and Labrador prepare for emergencies

In late February, a dedicated team of Red Crossers spent a few days in Newfoundland and Labrador to continue our work in supporting communities throughout their recovery journey. The coastal communities of Rose-Blanche and Burnt Islands were devastated by Hurricane Fiona in 2022 – they were unprepared for the scale of the damage, with many losing their homes and their livelihoods.

Thanks to the support of donors like yourself, the Canadian Red Cross can continue helping communities experiencing emergencies and disasters every step of the way. From immediate shelter and emergency supplies, to psychosocial support and emergency preparedness, the continued generosity of our donors truly makes a difference.
