What began in Syria three years ago has now developed into a humanitarian disaster of staggering proportions. Dedicated volunteers are responding with compassion and commitment, leaving behind their daily lives to help the more than 9 million Syrians in need of assistance, including 6.5 million people displaced inside their own country.

The infrastructure of Syria has been deeply impacted and so has the economic situation, with a direct impact of the livelihood of most Syrians. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) recently provided an update on the operations in an easy-to-understand video infographic.
