Canadian Red Cross launches appeal to support Northwest Territories Fires
OTTAWA | August 17, 2023
The Canadian Red Cross has launched the 2023 Northwest Territories Fires Appeal to help people impacted by fires.
Dangerous fires continue to spread throughout the territory, posing a significant threat to many communities and forcing people to evacuate their homes.
Donations to the Canadian Red Cross will be used for immediate and ongoing relief, recovery and resilience efforts in response to the fires in Northwest Territories. Donations may also support communities assisting those impacted, as well as preparedness and risk reduction for future all-hazard disaster events within Northwest Territories and the region.
Canadians wishing to make a donation to the 2023 Northwest Territories Fires Appeal can do so online at www.redcross.ca or by calling 1-800-418-1111.
