In photos: Mexican Red Cross responds to powerful earthquake

A 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck central and southern Mexico on September 19. More than 250 people have died, dozens of buildings have collapsed or are severely damaged in Mexico City, and millions of people remain without electricity.
 
The Mexican Red Cross quickly mobilized hundreds of volunteers and staff in response to the earthquake. This includes medical personnel such as nurses and doctors, 140 ambulances and 30 urban rescue unit to provide assistance to people impacted by the disaster in Mexico City and in Puebla.
