Meet a Canadian Red Cross volunteer: Erina Park

The work of the Canadian Red Cross is made possible through the tireless work of our dedicated volunteers. Today we want to celebrate the work of all our amazing volunteers, and take a moment to introduce you to Erina.

It’s almost been a year since Erina Park joined the Canadian Red Cross as a member of the Volunteer Resource Services (VSR) team in Kingston, ON.

Volunteering means a lot to Erina, who explained, “I think volunteering strengthens our communities and that’s really important to me. It’s an investment that we make through community service and volunteerism that brings people together.”

Erina’s role with the VSR team keeps her busy with work around the recruitment, selection, placement and orientation for Canadian Red Cross volunteers. This also includes working with candidates through the process of applying, helping new volunteers with orientation, and helping to coordinate volunteer’s needs while they are joining the Red Cross team.

Erina felt inspired to join the Canadian Red Cross because, “the Red Cross plays such an important role locally and globally. The mission and values that the Red Cross upholds resonate strongly with me.”

The Canadian Red Cross wouldn’t be able to do what we do without volunteers like Erina. If you are interested in joining the Red Cross, learn more on our website about volunteer opportunities.
