Photo of the day: Jillian's birthday gift to Syrian children

Guest post by Elizabeth Smith, Canadian Red Crosser

When Jillian Wright of Ottawa, Ontario was approaching her seventh birthday on October 23, she told her friends and family that instead of gifts she wanted money so that she could donate to the Red Cross to help Syrian children.  And good news – the money will be doubled by the Government of Canada through its Refugee Crisis Appeal

Today Jillian came to our Ottawa national office to personally give us the money. Thank you so much Jillian, we will make sure your special contribution will help girls and boys through our Syrian Refugee Fund!
