In its third year, the fighting in Syria is growing increasingly intense and the humanitarian crisis is rapidly growing. Millions are internally displaced in Syria and even more are without access to food, medical supplies and services. Families, like the one pictured above, are constantly moving in search of a safe place to stay.
Canadians who wish to help in response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Syria can donate to the Syria Crisis Fund at redcross.ca, by calling 1-800-418-1111, or at their local Red Cross office. This fund supports emergency relief efforts including relief items, food parcels, medical supplies, and emergency personnel both within Syria and services to Syrian refugees in neighbouring countries.
