Emergency Preparedness Week is coming - time to save your fanny!

If you follow this blog often enough, you know that Red Crossers love all things having to do with first aid and disaster preparedness. Well, now we've found a way that we can all wear our love for safety – a fanny pack! That's right! Fanny packs.

We figured if The Bay can bring back the K-Way suit (remember those in neon colours?), then surely we can bring back the fanny pack.

It’s kind of like a bat belt – except instead of crampons and gadgets, ours is stuffed with band-aids, gloves and gauze – all things you might need in a pinch. And, because it's Emergency Preparedness Week (May 6-13), we have a 15% discount for anyone who purchases a fanny pack (regular price $13.95).

Look! It's Hulk Hogan wearing a fanny pack

Fashion faux-pas, you say? It's a small price to pay to save your fanny! Plus, our disaster and first aid experts love them it because it means they can keep their hands free and still carry essential first aid tools.

Stay safe, friends, and tweet us @redcrosscanada #saveyourfanny

And when you think of the Red Cross fanny pack, remember how Justin Timberlake brought ‘sexy back.’ Only, we’re bringing fanny back.
