Guest entry by James Park, Assistant Communications Coordinator in BC
This Remembrance Day weekend marked the 28th year of our Global Issues Symposium for Youth, a four-day camp run by the Canadian Red Cross’ Humanitarian Issues Promotion. At our Symposium, high school students from all over British Columbia spent four days learning about global issues including International Humanitarian Law, HIV/AIDS, food security and weapons of war. Empowered by these workshops, students then discussed how to actively bring positive change to the world. For more information, check out our website or our Facebook page.
