Mayors make a fuss over Meals on Wheels

On Monday, we told you about Mayors for Meals – an initiative that several Ontario mayors are taking part in this week to help raise awareness about Meals on Wheels programs in the community.

The mayors have been stepping in as volunteers for a day, and we’ve been receiving great feedback from them about our program.

Sarnia Mayor Mike Bradley was quoted as saying: "It's an untold story. So I think it's really important using the office of mayor to help promote this particular cause." (See the full story in the Sarnia Observer.)

Brantford Mayor Chris Friel said he "jumped at the chance" to participate.
