Emergency Management

In Alberta in 2020-21, the Red Cross assisted 1,257 people after a disaster and responded to 284 personal disasters such as house fires. Red Cross continues to work collaboratively with community partners and build new relationships.
Additionally, Red Cross also worked with communities on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) initiatives. In Alberta, 166 people participated in DRR workshops to help families be ready and more self-sufficient after a disaster or emergency.
